Here’s another great shout out in Prairie Business Magazine to the beautiful Fergus Falls Riverfront project we’ve had the privilege of being a part of, designed by civil engineer Jon De Graaf of Bolton & Menk, Inc. in Fargo, ND. In an article for Prairie Business magazine, De Graaf highlights the Fergus Falls Riverfront project as one of his favorites, saying “A lot of business owners were complimenting it, too, calling it a facelift for their back doors, which is almost like their front doors.”
We can relate with the satisfaction he goes on to talk about in seeing the vision come to life as more pieces to the puzzle are constructed. One of our favorite things to say as we’re driving by a project of ours is “We did that!” And what’s even better, is knowing that we’re helping to make our communities a better place to live.
Phase II of the Fergus Falls Riverfront project consists of dirtwork to prep the ground, followed by parking lot grading, paving and striping and additional sidewalk laying. Then it expands to install fencing alongside the river, protecting little ones at the Splash Pad from wandering in dangerous areas. Then the cherry-on-top splash pad element complete with wading pool (with waterfall creation) and a pavilion providing shade for caregivers. Everything is set with beautiful landscaping and picnic and seating areas to make a longer day trip.
As the general contractor, Comstock Construction is managing all aspects of the project, including self-performing building the restrooms and mechanical combo building, setting the metal railings, and putting in concrete foundations which will include rock-liner panels.
